December 1, 2016 – The British Hen Welfare Trust (BHWT) will soon be building the UK’s first ever hen welfare and education centre. Time is ticking away and the BHWT wants to get building as soon as it possibly can – but it needs your help to do that.

It has already raised £150,000, but needs another £100,000 for building work to start – any donation you make will nudge the egg timer closer to that £250,000 mark.

If you make a donation you will be able to say you helped thousands of hens on their way to a free-range future.

How you can make a difference

It’s pretty simple – the more money the BHWT raise, the sooner it can start building the new centre and, most importantly, save more hens! The BHWT wants to show supporters just how much your money means to hens, so it will give anyone who donates £15 or more a special something in return.

So, #chipinforchickens and receive:

  • A personalised certificate when you donate £15
  • A personalised certificate and a supporter’s medal when you donate £50
  • A personalised certificate and a plaque at the centre when you donate £100
