November 2, 2016 -A contest to find animals to appear in the UK’s first ever real pets colouring book, has been swamped with entries on social media – but there is still time to enter.

The Colour My Pet contest invites pet owners to tweet photographs of their favourite companion converted to a line drawing by the free-to-download ‘Colorscape’ app (note the US spelling of colour).

Bob and Daisy from Derby, have also been shortlisted in the contest. Owner Jane Marshall said: “We are barking mad about colouring in pictures of Bob and Daisy. I hope they win the contest.”

Selected entries will be make it into the colouring book which will be published early 2017.

So far organisers have received photos and line drawings of cats, dogs, horses, tortoises and even an alpaca.

The closing date for entries is 31 December, 2016.

To enter, download the free app here, take snap of your pet(s), convert it to a line drawing and tweet it to @ColorscapeApp using the hashtag #ColourMyPet

A spokeswoman for Colorscape told Pet News Today, “The number of winners depends entirely on the amount of entries we receive, so the more we get the better.”
Winners will receive a free copy of the colouring book.
